Filigree is the art of working fine silver into lace-like patterns. In this pendant it forms a Star of David within a round frame, around a center of Eilat stone.
The star, in Hebrew the Magen David or “Shield of David”, symbolizes the relationship between man and God, with God as man’s shield and protector.
The Eilat stone is Israel’s national stone, known also as King Solomon’s stone and mined in the Timna Valley near the city of Eilat. Each stone has its own cut, color and weight, creating a one-of-a-kind design. A delicate gift for a daughter, granddaughter or friend.
