Jerusalem Artists Company showcases Israeli artists from all over the country, bringing you some of their finest, best-loved designs. Biblical inspired collections of unique artistry and craftsmanship, from jewelry and giftware, to home décor and traditional items, each of selected artists bring new meaning and a new expression of life to the City of Jerusalem, the Bible, and to modern day Israel.

Behind the Scenes

My name is Michael Oestermann and I am the founder and general manager of this exceptional community of talented Israeli artists who make up the Jerusalem Artists Company.

Born in Copenhagen, and moving to Israel at a young age, growing up in Jerusalem, gives one a different perspective of time itself. I have, during my many walks in the streets, markets, valleys and hills of Jerusalem, tried to absorb and capture the soul and spirit of this invigorating city. My love for Jerusalem has taken me perhaps on the very same stones, along the trails and mountains where many have walked before me years ago. This is where Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, King David, King Solomon, and many more legendary biblical figures once stood. Only here, can one can begin to understand the significance and the magnitude of this remarkable Land.

Many of the items displayed on this website have been designed to honor this time, a gentle reminder of ancient days, when the stories of the Bible came to life. It is here that I hope to make these memories eternal, where our artistic handcrafted collections will bring you closer to the source, to the spirit of the Holy Land, and will find a special place in your home, your heart, or shared with a loved one.
