In the time of the Bible, wheat was the main source of food, and so it became an inspiration for many works of art. It was also the first fruit of the harvest, a sign of new beginnings, new hopes and new dreams.
This set captures the crowns of wheat at harvest time. Israeli designer Maayan Ayash handcrafts each piece using techniques similar to those of biblical times.

Maayan Ayash was born in Brazil from a family of artists and painters. In Maayan’s studio in Sao Paulo, the plentitude of gems of Maayan’s enchanting designs enabled her to produce remarkable jewelry.
In 1985 Maayan decided to move to Israel. After living in Israel Maayan had a Jewish religious awakening, and she fulfilled her desire to convert to Judaism. Maayan lived in Jerusalem, where she made drawings on silver.
Maayan’s creations bears the imprint of thirty years of work with silver, gold and gems— along with her spiritual connection to the dream of Jews living in the land of their fathers.
