Shalom Window Art, Hand Painted in Israel
“So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God.” (Genesis 28:21)
What does Shalom really mean?
In Hebrew, Shalom means peace. It comes from the root Shalam: to be safe in mind, body and soul. The biblical Shalom is an inward sense of completeness, tranquility and wholeness. In Israel today it is also hello and goodbye, a way of wishing others, “May you be full of well-being.”
Put that greeting on your front window or door. The decal presses onto any smooth, clean surface and can be moved at will.
It is the work of Katja Barlia of Madbekatja, born in Hannover, Germany, and at home in Israel for 30 years. Her window art is sold exclusively by Jerusalem Artists’ Company.
Jerusalem Artists’ Company is a proud supplier to the Museum of the Bible Store in Washington, D.C.
