Second Temple Incense Kit with All 11 Holy Spices
At the center of every ceremony in the Temple was the Incense Offering. It was a precise mixture of 11 holy spices known in Hebrew as the Ketoret Besamim (Exodus 30:34-38), burned each evening and morning on the golden Incense Altar by the Cohanim, the priests, before the Holy Ark.
How the Master Perfumer prepared the Ketoret was a closely guarded secret. It was the combination of all 11 ingredients that produced the fragrance that filled the Second Temple, and this kit brings those 11 spices together in one set.
The kit is meant for decoration, to bring the blessing of plenitude into your home, and as a teaching tool for churches, schools and study groups exploring worship in the time of the Second Temple.
