This Sterling silver and 14K gold-plated replica depicts the medallion used to adorn the Torah scroll, beautifully engraved with three religious Jewish symbols, the seven-branched temple Menorah, the Shofar, and the Torah scroll.

Given the date and the manner in which this medallion was found, renowned Israeli archaeologist, Dr. Eilat Mazar who discovered this medallion, estimates it was abandoned during the Persian conquest of Jerusalem in 614 CE. For 1,400 years, this medallion waited to be unearthed, buried in the ground adjacent to the southern wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
