Menorah Do-It-Yourself Mosaic Kit

$29.00

This Mosaic Kit has a Menorah design typically found in archeological sites in the Holy Land. The Menorah, the great seven-branched candelabra of the Temple, is also the national symbol of the State of Israel. The Menorah is one of the oldest symbols of the Jewish faith used in the Temple. The Kohanim (priests) lit the menorah in the sanctuary every evening, and cleaned it out every morning, replacing the wicks and pouring fresh olive oil into the cups.

“You shall make a lampstand of pure gold… You shall make the seven lamps for it; and the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it. Its snuffers and trays shall be of pure gold. It, and all these utensils, shall be made from a talent of pure gold. And see that you make them according to the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain.” (Exodus 25:31-40) Easy to assemble, even for a novice, this kit does more than supply materials and instructions. It gives you valuable techniques you can use again and again to create professional-quality artwork. The Mosaic Kit is a great way to introduce young children to mosaic art, as well as to the magnificent mosaics found in the Holy Land. The kit is packed in a wooden box with a clear top. Contents: mosaic stones, glue, grout, printed wooden board, plaster, sponge, mixing stick, and instructions. Suitable for ages 10 and up. Stones can be cut with scissors.
