Eti Ben-Saadon, wife, mother of six, and grandmother of sixteen, holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew Literature from Bar-Ilan University, Israel, and has been a professor and lecturer of Literature for over 30 years. She began to design jewelry, following in the footsteps of her father, who was a jeweler in his native Morocco. After his passing some 16 years ago, Eti felt a deep spiritual connection with her father through her craftsmanship and design. Although the raw materials are different, for Eti, the inspiration behind her work, is the same. “I am truly blessed by God to create and design in the world of Jewish art.” Says Eti. “I collect prayers and verses from the Bible that lift the spirit, and weave them into my jewelry, to give blessings to those who wear them.” Ben-Saadon has incorporated her calling into her exquisite Mandala collection, each adorned with significant and meaningful Biblical blessings and verses, giving each piece the potential of healing, and changing how we perceive ourselves and even our purpose in life.
