Illuminated Psalms Book in English and Hebrew
This Psalms book reproduces a manuscript first written and painted on parchment. Yitzhak Hazin, born in Odessa and trained at the Grakov Art Academy, is best known for his Judaica art and for “The Illuminated Torah”, the project this book belongs to.
Every page opens a whole world painted in miniature. Hazin drew the paintings by hand over seven years, aiming to give readers a panoramic glimpse into the stories of the Bible. The calligraphy and the interpretations of the text are by calligrapher and artist Rabbi Yonah Weinrib.
A best seller, and a gift of lasting value for a wedding, bar or bat mitzvah, ordination or anniversary.
