This magnificent Psalms book is a copy of the world renowned hand illustrated book written on parchment by the renown Bible illustrators, Yitzhak and Nehama Hazin. Hazin, best known for his Judaica art, was born in Odessa, Russia, and studied at the Grakov Art Academy.

Hazin is famous for his project, ‘The Illuminated Torah,’ a new and exciting work of art in the history of Jewish manuscripts and the Judaica world at large, which this book is part of. The purpose of this project was to add a new dimension to the complex texts of Bible. Although in recent centuries, illuminated manuscripts and drawings could already be found, this Psalms book illuminates in a new and spectacular perspective. Each page describes a vast world painted meticulously under the finite space of a miniature scale. Hazin’s objective in creating this book was to offer a panoramic glimpse into the remarkable Biblical stories. The original book was made on parchment. The calligraphy and the various interpretations of the text were made by calligrapher and artist, Rabbi Yonah Weinrib. The paintings were hand drawn by Hazin over a period of 7 years.
