Devout Christians, the Odeh family started out in a humble one-room workshop, and today, boasts a fully operational facility with a team of 13 professional olive wood craftsmen. To create their hand carved olive wood pieces, Odeh use only olive branches carefully pruned from local olive groves, never cutting down the trees, to preserve them for generations to come. The branches are dried for a year or more before the wood becomes ready for use. Masters of their craft, Odeh carefully select, dry, and carve each and every piece to showcase the beautiful grains of the natural wood. The olive tree is a symbol of persistence and permanent existence, where pure olive wood represents the ancient past, as much as it is a promise of a better future.
