A small gold-plated seven-branched menorah, the lampstand of the Temple in Jerusalem and one of the central symbols of the Jewish people.
From the time the Israelites wandered the desert of Sinai, the seven-branched menorah has symbolized their bond with the Lord. It stood in the Temple King Solomon built in Jerusalem and in the Second Temple after it, until 70 C.E., when the Roman general Titus destroyed the Temple and carried the menorah to Rome as a trophy of war.
The Bible describes the menorah as a lampstand of pure gold. Fresh olive oil was burned daily to light its lamps, an eternal flame symbolizing God’s presence that illuminates the world.
This small gold-plated menorah is a best seller for desks, shelves and classrooms, and a meaningful gift for anyone with a heart for Israel.
